How many app servers are available today for us? and which one is most use full to us?

1. Glassfish Open Source OS, huge community, latest trends Yet to achieve maturity for production ready environments
2. JBoss Open Source OS, mature, widely used, commercial support also available Release process slow, complex to configure, if support not taken
3. Apache Geronimo Apache OS Not yet mature
4. Websphere IBM ALL, but just commercial Cost
5. Weblogic BEA, now Oracle ALL, but just commercial Cost
6. Resin Open Source OS, PHP built in, Mature, commercial support also available, Easy to use Lesser popular yet then JBoss
7. Oracle (OC4J) Oracle ALL, but just commercial Cost

 

For the developers and newbies in j2EE environment the most confortable are yet Glassfish, as it comes
built in with NetBeans IDE and JBOSS with good Eclipse support by various plugins
